Nasal steroid sprays reduce inflammation caused by allergies or a structural problem. Beclomethasone, budesonide, flunisolide, fluticasone, mometasone, and triamcinolone are some the nasal steroids.
If the headaches are caused due to bacterial infection then antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor can be taken to treat the infection.
Sinus headaches related to structural problems like deviated septum or nasal polyps can be treated with medication and other alternatives. Surgery would be the last option as surgery has its own risks and is not necessarily successful in eliminating the symptoms even after the structural problem has been corrected.
